If you are unable to locate a specific film on FilmFed, please reply to this thread and we will make sure to get it added and will notify you once it is available.
@PedroMGA all have been added. A couple had multiple films with the same title.
@TheFilmRascalShow both of these films were in the catalog. The issue is the search needs improvement, which I am currently working on. If a film starts with "The" try omitting that part from the search queue. Hopefully I will get these search improvements out in the next few days.
@PedroMGA I am working on search improvements that will allows you to import movies.
I have been working hard on a large infrastructure and framework update that includes these search/import features. This update is days away from launching. I will let you all know once the update has been released and how you can import your own movies.
@TheFilmRascalShow & @PedroMGA I have launched the latest round of updates to FilmFed. This round includes lots of goodies, but most importantly, improvements to search. You all will be able to find things more efficiently and if we don't have what you are looking for, you can check TMDb to see if it is available for import.
@PedroMGA http://filmfed.com/movies/it-2016 is scheduled for release on 9/23 just 2 days. Once the release date passes, it will be reviewable. As for the loading screen, yes that means it is in the queue for import. Depending on how many films are queued up, it can take a few minutes.
@TheMovieDiorama Thanks for reporting these. Our sync engine is in the process of receiving some major improvements, so hopefully issues like this one we a problem in the near future. Feel free to keep reporting any issues you do find though and I will get them fixed up.
I was able to import the The Patriot (2000). I also wanted to let you know that if you are signed in, when searching for a movie, if you click "View More" on the "Movie Results" section, you will see a link at the bottom of the next page that will allow you to check with our third party content providers for missing films.
@BarneyNuttall Do you mean The Circle (2005)? If that isn't it, please let me know. Also, just a heads up with our new search, you can search with the year, so "circle 2005" returns The Circle (2005) as the top result. If that is not the right film, please let me know who the director is and I will track it down.
Hi @dukesheppard, thank you for reaching out. Our film data is provided by TMDb. Please confirm the film you are looking for is added to TMDb, and within 48 hours it should be available here on FilmFed.
If for some reason you are able to see the film on TMDb, but not on FilmFed, please let me know and provide a link to the films listing page on IMDb.
You can add Rui Constantino's films to TMDb using the link below. After they are added to TMDb, they will be come available on FilmFed within 24 to 48 hours.
I'll just add movies here until someone else posts:
Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters (2017)
The Tommyknockers (1993) (available on DVD)
God Told Me To
The Man (1972)
The Wizard of Speed and Time (1988)
Genesis II (1973)
One problem that I'm seeing in the search engine is that even with exact wording, or a title like Them! (1954), I had to click the view more results to have the movie come up. I'm guessing that your system doesn't see it unless someone else has already accessed it. The same thing goes with the images. In the search, you have a blank pick, but once selected, it looks like the database regenerates and includes the photo (if there is one) on tmdb.
You are correct in your assumptions about our search engine. When you use our global search, it search our current catalog. If you don't see the film listed, that means one of 2 things, either the film has not yet been synced to our catalog or the result is greater than 5 results down. When you click "View More Movie Results", we reach-out to TMDb to check for new films matching the search query. We then show the results which will include the newly imported films. This most commonly occurs when looking at older or lesser known films that have never been searched for on FilmFed.
I have gone ahead synced the requested films but I also wanted to let you know if you know the IMDb ID of the film (i.e. tt5979874), you can also search by that for faster results. (i.e. search for "imdb:tt0081766".
