Finally, the dead speak to us through Peter Jackson’s “They Shall Not Grow Old” as life and voice and restoration were given back to the generation who sacrificed themselves for us. The extensive process was grueling in a lot of factors: correcting the brightness, tweaking the framerate, splicing the audio bits piece by piece and blending in the camerawork seamlessly. It made for a difficult project to take up but the end result is this beautiful piece of tragedy, fully showing the true horrors of war and making use of its impressive technical achievement and walloping emotional impact.
