Charlie Hunnam was great as Arthur delivering a performance that was convincing in both the action sequences and the emotional moments. Jude Law was the perfect balance of creepy, detached, and ominous in with portrayal of Vortigern. For most of the film Guy Ritchie's directing and eiting style worked. It was especially great in the in the smart funny banter between characters.

While Guy Ritchie's fast moving style worked for conversational moments it sometimes felt a little chaotic and lost some of the key story elements. The editing felt choppy and pushed the film at an inconsistent pace. This version of King Arthur was probably the most "magical adaptation we've had but the while most of the CGI was well-rendered there were parts that were lower quality and it pulls you out of the movie.

Overall King Arthur: Legend of the Sword was a good film. With good performances from the leads and supporting characters. Guy Ritchie's directorial style didn't overshadow the content of the film. But, the probably should have been a 3-hour film. The shortened run time made the film feel rushed with too much packed into the second act. Even with those flaws I still enjoyed the film and it definitely exceeds my expectations
