I am a big fan of indie films and am always looking for new good ones to watch.

I recently discovered Take Me Home (2011) and absolutely loved it.

It got me thinking, what are some other indie films you really like, but others might not have heard of?

"Safety Not Guaranteed" is such a fabulous choice! "Garage Days" is a good choice, a movie we really love!

@chris @lololovesfilms I remember watching Garage Days when it first came out. I believe it was directed by Alex Proyas, director of such awesome flicks as The Crow and Dark City. Great soundtrack, if I remember correctly.

Anyway, as far as smaller films I've seen that I'd love for others to check out:

It's not so much an indie flick, but a small Mexican movie titled POR LA LIBRE. Its English title is DUST TO DUST. It's one of those flicks that always stuck with me and made me hope I could one day produce a movie of that quality. Check it out.

I just saw Creep (2014) the other day, it was excellent. Mark Duplass shines once again as the incredibly creepy and uncomfortable Josef.

I really enjoyed The Kings of Summer (2013). I really need to watch it again actually.

@TheTalkingChris I enjoyed that one as well.

I will also add Mine (2017) to the mix. I just watched it the other day and was pleasantly surprised.

Also, Amber Alert (2016), Raw (2017), Pear Cider and Cigarettes (2016) (short), Abulele (2015), and The Hollars (2016).

'Song of the Sea (2015)' is an incredibly beautiful Irish animated film, not enough people saw 'Life of Pi (2012)', Sam Rockwell gives a tour de force performance in 'Moon (2009)', also 'Midnight Special' and 'The Witch'.

I love political thrillers, and Roman Polanski's 'The Ghost Writer' (or 'The Ghost' here in the UK) is one of the most overlooked in the genre. Highly recommend it.
