Trolls Review

Trolls (2016) is the story of Poppy (Anna Kendrick) and Branch (Justin Timberlake), two Trolls who set out on a journey to rescue a friend who has been taken by the evil Bergens. "Trolls" is a super cute movie with incredibly vibrant colors and a story that will entertain both kids and adults alike. The voice talent which is led by Anna Kendrick (Poppy) and Justin Timberlake (Branch) was terrific. The film features a diverse selection of animation styles which includes both computer generated animation and traditional stop motion animation. I have always been a fan of stop-motion animation, and this film's approach of using it for scrapbooking is something I appreciate. Anyway, a movie can encourage young children to create art easily is OK with me. I also really enjoyed the excellent and diverse selection of modern and classic songs that were reimagined for the film. I give Trolls (2016) a 7 out of 10.

As I mentioned earlier, "Trolls" is a very colorful and visually vibrant film with excellent music, so it was important that the Blu-ray represented these qualities, which it does perfectly. The "Trolls" Party Edition Blu-ray is packed full of excellent features the kids will absolutely love (adults might enjoy a few too). The "Party Mode" version of the film includes 15 different sing-along songs and four interactive features that are embedded right in the movie. The disc also includes over 45 minutes of Blu-ray special features.

• Travel Through Troll Village - Explore the colorful and vibrant world that is Troll Village and meet a couple of the film's primary characters along the way.
• The Potion for Stop-Motion - Explore the world of stop-motion animation and see how the film's creators built Poppy's scrapbook. This feature also encourages kids to easily create stop-motion art of their own.
• Creating Troll Magic - Learn how "Trolls" was made and explore some of the various processes that went into the making of the film.
