Can't find a film you are looking for?

Not sure if it's just me, but seems that some of the pages get stuck loading. Films such as The Loved Ones, Anonymous (2011) and House of Flying Daggers do not seem to be loading so I can't post a review. View the full reply »

Platoon is so much more than just your average war film. This is actually rather intelligent, both in its plot and technical execution. It's the Vietnam War, we follow a platoon of US soldiers as they attempt to wipe out the enemy. The question th... Read the full review »

Moonrise Kingdom is a sweet heartwarming coming-of-age comedic drama that showcases some great talent. That talent mostly being Wes Anderson who has crafted an authentic drama with some contemporary flavours. His direction is so quirky that it's h... Read the full review »

47 Metres Down should've been titled "47 Reasons Why This Disaster Will Make You Feel Down". It's not often a film so bad irritates me, but perhaps once a year there is always one. I'm confident in saying that this...this...abysmal piece of pure s... Read the full review »

The Raid 2 has the most insane choreography I've ever seen. In-flipping-sane. Ohhhhh myyyyyy lorddddd I couldn't keep me eyes off those fight scenes. Every kick, every punch and every head smash was filmed to absolute perfection. Martial arts have... Read the full review »

Hugo (2011)

Hugo (2011)

9 / 10
Hugo is probably Scorsese's most overlooked film. In my opinion, this is an absolute joy to watch from start to finish. Whether you are a child or adult, there is definitely something here for you to admire. It's incredibly ambitious and stuffed w... Read the full review »

The Wolverine is easily my favourite solo Wolverine film. Don't get me wrong, Logan is great but this is far more enjoyable and less soul draining. We follow Logan to Japan where he is invited to say farewell to an old friend he once saved, howeve... Read the full review »

The Girl With All The Gifts is a prime example why British zombie films are the best. When you compare something like 28 Days Later to World War Z, the former is head and shoulders above the latter. There is something about the backdrop of England... Read the full review »

A Most Wanted Man is yet another mature spy thriller based on a John Le Carré novel. I struggled with Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy but really enjoyed Our Kind Of Traitor. I'm on the fence with this one. There is no denying that this is a well execut... Read the full review »

12 Angry Men proves that a masterpiece is all in the details. Released in 1957, this is about a group of jurors deciding the fate of a young boy who is accused of murder. One man believes he is not guilty and attempts to convince the rest of the j... Read the full review »

Dunkirk is a visceral, sensory and rapid war experience that shows brutality and heroism in technical excellence. When it comes to directing, Christopher Nolan is technically flawless. He has garnered such a prestige (see what I did there) that au... Read the full review »

Full Metal Jacket is not just about war, but rather the psychology behind it. A smart move from the legend that was Stanley Kubrick. We've all seen many war films, a genre that is well explored from a variety of different conflicts. Full Metal Jac... Read the full review »

Hero (2002)

Hero (2002)

9 / 10
Hero is a visually arresting martial arts classic. It's not often I say "classic" for this genre, there are certain milestones. Much like Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon back in 2000, Hero became popular in western audiences due to its easy accessi... Read the full review »
