  Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is a crucial chapter in the saga, this is where evil truly becomes powerful. A main character dies that changes the story and it's dark times ahead. I like the fact it balances the normal school year with the overall plot progression. It establishes the characters' relationships and really does build on it. Progression arcs on both Snape and Draco were intriguing and essential. The cave scene with the horcrux seemed out of place but apart from that it was a solid chapter that is competently directed and acted.
