Hacksaw Ridge is a powerful and moving film that features some incredible performances by Andrew Garfield, Teresa Palmer, Sam Worthington, and Hugo Weaving. Garfield will definitely be getting a nomination by me for his portrayal of Desmond Doss. I am a big fan of period pieces and this is one of the areas this film shines beautifully. Mel Gibson's direction on this film is flawless and while I may not agree with his personal opinions, I will say that he sure knows how to make incredible movies.
