  • Out of the three movies that came out that weekend, this is the best movie. All of the proformances are great, especially Andrew Garfield, who is Oscar worthy in this role. I feel the action sequences were very well done by Me Gibson, and found the scenes very intense at times hard to watch. My biggest worry for this movie going into it was the story wasn't going to be that good, and in the first act of this movie, I did hate this guy. He was stubborn beyond fucking belief, which started to piss me off. By the end of the movie though, I really felt for the character and thought he did a great thing, and that's what a good story arc can do so well. That and the fact I thought the movie overstayed it's welcome, going on fifteen minutes too long, are my only really gripes with the movie. I found Hacksaw Ridge to be an emotional rollercoaster you guys sould all ride at least once.
