User Review

  • Inside Llewyn-Davis is rated the 11th best film of the 21st Century (as voted by a poll of movie critics). Seemingly my expectations were quite high and it was safe to say, these were met. This is an excellent character study and look into the world of folk music. Oscar Isaac was absolutely impressive, a rather nuanced understated performance. Supporting cast was also great, Carey Mulligan especially. I liked how the story felt rather melancholic, you feel for Llewyn and the rather troubling incidents he goes through. The script was light, witty and humorous at times. Cinematography was fantastic, loved the colour palette used. I don't think it has re-watchability and 11th best film!? I disagree, but it's a darn good watch!
