There's not much to expect in this 3rd installment, but that's not to say it's downright awful. The voice actors, for example, are amazing, especially Steve Carell as Gru. The animation is also top notch and very well made. I also liked the character development and how the movie explored each character's own struggles. That being said, there were many faults in this movie. The thing it lacks most of all is a cohesive story, and by that I mean that it jumps all over the place. All in all (and this isn't a spoiler) I counted something like four different sub-plots happening at the same time. The laughs aren't that good either, and I found many of them cringy (although sometimes it did pull them off well). Overall, I found this movie very disappointing since the thing I expected it to be was nothing more than a comedy. I give it a 4 out of 10.
