Youth feels very arthouse, it's all about a retired composer (Michael Caine) and a veteran film director (Harvey Keitel) as they stay in a hotel in Switzerland contemplating their futures. I found this to be extremely profound and rather melancholic. The inevitability of death and how our body and mind deteriorate with age. The cinematography was awe-inspiring, wide still shots with just the landscape visually entrancing the audience. Paul Dano as always gives us a great performance, same to Rachel Weisz. I thoroughly recommend watching this, and the last 10 minutes moved me...that alone is worth it.1 member likes this review.
