12 Years A Slave is a powerful piece of cinema. It resonates with me right the start. Not only is it powerful, but it's an extremely important film to watch. There have been many films like this before, it's nothing new. The difference with this, is that it is brutal. Chiwetel Ejiofor and Lupita Nyongo lead an all-star cast, directed by the amazing Steve McQueen. It's no wonder this moving film won all the awards and it's a worthy addition to the collection.0 member like this review.
