THIS IS AWESOME! No it really is. This is exactly what you need and want from an war epic, and boy what an epic it is. Loosely based on the legendary historical Battle of Thermoplyae, in truth this film is pretty simple, and it is more of a spectacle than anuthing. But that's the point! You don't watch 300 and expect to watch The Godfather. This film is incredible visually, and even with it' simplistic plot is incredibly hearty and engaging. It has great cinematography, and choreography that is still thrilling 11 years later. Consisting of great performances all round, but especially from the now big names of Gerard Butler, Lena Heady, and Michael Fassbender. Great watch if you just wanna pick up a spear and go wild.0 member like this review.
