The Lady in the Van is a nice heartwarming British comedy drama. But that's all it is, it's just nice...nothing ground breaking here. Dame Maggie Smith is a delight as always and I thought Alex Jennings was also very good. Plenty of smiles, a few emotional moments and an intriguing character (apparently a true story). There's just something pretentious and annoying about Alan Bennett in real life, heck he appears at the end of the film as well.0 member like this review.
