  The Great Gatsby is a film that gives us an insight to the rich and wealthy back in the 1920's. All I can say is the real star of the film is the production, woooooow does everything look good! The wild parties, the New York setting...Baz Luhrmann did a great job as director. I mean it's a good adaptation, the acting was solid (although Tobey Maguire is hit and miss) was well paced. Just something was missing! it's a long film, and the best parts are in the first half so the film really loses steam during the second half. However, I enjoyed it...just might be a difficult rewatch.
