Prisoners is a masterpiece. It was the best thriller of the year of its release and is still my favourite Denis Villeneuve film. It's intense, it's brutal and the character development is so fleshed out that everyone becomes invested in both families. Hugh Jackman's best film, Jake Gyllenhaal's second best film and my second favourite thriller (just behind Gone Girl). Everyone needs to watch it.1 member likes this review.
