  • The Legend of Tarzan is another Tarzan film. This time it's moody, serious and extremely engaging. I really liked this film! The moody atmosphere really suited well and appreciated it. Alexander Skarsgard physically fits the role and gives a great performance. Samuel L Jackson is the comic relief and Christoph Waltz plays a good villain (as always). The plot was exciting, although predictable, and I liked how the narrative switched between the present and how Tarzan was brought up with the Congo wildlife. The Congo itself looked stunning, some really nice landscape shots. Action scenes were filmed reasonably well. The CGI is hit and miss, the wildlife looks great...the action scenes not so much. The human CGI is extremely noticeable and does not look good. Some might find the pace abit on the slow side and the final showdown was slightly underwhelming. Having said that this is a really enjoyable film that makes 110 minutes fly by.
