  • The Lobster is the definition of Arthouse. It's quirky, weird, engrossing and strangely hypnotic. Single people go to a hotel where if they don't find love...get transformed into an animal of their choice. It's just so original and refreshing. The script was great, the wit and humour reminded me of The Grand Budapest Hotel. The acting was spot on, I wished there was more Olivia Colman. My only gripe is that after the first hour...it sloooooooows down a lot. I wanted more of the plot to be in the hotel but unfortunately it decided to change and for me felt very disconnected. Definitely worth a watch, might be difficult to rewatch though.
