The Hateful Eight is Quentin Tarantino's eighth film. I find Tarantino pretentious as a person, but as a film director he is quite the talent. He's managed to direct another great addition to his filmography. There is gore, there is violence and there is some super cohesive dialogue that is wrapped in more dialogue and tied up nicely with some more. That's my problem. Two thirds of the film is just way too slow for my liking, takes awhile for the character development to settle. Having said that, I became much more invested when I got to the end of chapter three. 70mm was an excellent format to go with, and not to mentioned the great cast (heck...even Tim Roth was good). It's a fine film, but is one of Tarantino's weaker additions.0 member like this review.
