  • This was a movie I wasn't looking foreword to since the first trailer. I was never really hyped, and I'm glad I wasn't. This movie was an excellent disaster. There is a lot to love and a lot to hate. My personal favorite thing was Ben Afflecks portrayal of Batman. I would easily watch a stand alone film with this batman. Gal Gadot did a amazing Job as the first on screen wonder woman, and I can't wait until her stand alone film. I loved the potrail of Alfred in this movie, as the guy playing him was almost as good as Michael Caine. I also thought that the action was well shot. you could easily see what was going on, which is also a downfall thatI will talk about that soon. Just like most Zach Snyder film, it is very pretty. I also enjoyed the score. It really pumped you up. Now for the cons, and there are definitely more cons then pros. The worst thing about the movie was the script easy. It was all over the place, and wasn't compelling at all. The ending, which I will not spoil, you can tell that you are supposed to care, but because these characters where so horribly written, you didn't care. also, Jesse Eisenberg as lex luthor didn't work at all for me. He was basically a cartoon character brought into a serious batman movie. Henry Cavill did not work for me as Superman at all. I also knew that there was going to be a lot of CGI, but relying on it solely is a big no no for any movie. This movie had some of the worst editing in recent years, it was horrid. This movie is supposed to set up the DC universe, but that seems to be like 60% of the movie, which I would think that this movie would focus on its own plot. This last big con is more something I find iterating, which is that batman kill fucking everyone, and we don't even know why! The movie never explains it. Overall, Batman V Superman was just fine, not great or horrible, just fine.
