  • The Angry Birds Movie is as good as it has any right to be. It's obvious this was a money making animation that was feeding off the success of the mobile game that everyone played. Does that make it necessarily good? I actually enjoyed this more than I should've. The animation is fluid and vibrant, plenty of bright colours. The script was actually really good for the most part, had me smiling on various occasions. Some pop culture references felt shoe-horned but it makes the viewing more enjoyable for the older audience. I like how it resembled the game and wasn't totally ambiguous. The characters had personalities and were certainly memorable. The voice acting was nothing special and was abit weak in my opinion. The plot was unfocused, we literally have to wait an hour before the evil pigs start stealing the bird eggs. Younger audiences will adore this, others may find this a difficult watch but I strangely enjoyed it.
