If you’re expecting a feel-good kind of dramedy from the mind of a 14 yr old, “Little” has to offer exactly that. It’s funny when it counts, it hits the emotion (somewhat) when it has to, the performances are as realistic as they can get, making the event look as believable as possible despite the film being self-aware of its gimmick. The glaring issue outside of the formulaic, underdeveloped script and the by the numbers direction is simple: If you’ve seen them once, you’ve seen them all. If you’ve seen BIG or any other movies involving a body swap, then you know how it’s going to work out. Living up to its scattershot silliness was easier said than done and the film doesn’t fully take advantage of what was already a decent idea but the basic formula stays the same.

Another “BIG” ripoff with an uneven albeit satisfying payoff, it benefits from the chemistry from its main stars, a nice spin on the familiar formula and a lot of heart.
