Killer Elite is a confused action film. Confused in the sense that the story is muddled and seems pointless. Jason Statham is a great action star as always, and I thought this was one of his better performances. Clive Owen was the best out of the bunch, Robert De Niro looked like he couldn't care less. The action scenes were filmed well, including the close combat scene in the hospital. The biggest problem is that you don't really know who is the good guy. Statham's character is killing SAS soldiers who were just following orders, Owen's character is trying to kill Statham to protect the soldiers and keep the whole incident in Oman as a coverup. Are any of them good? This really makes the characters less investing. It's a fine film, just nothing memorable.0 member like this review.
