In great anticipation for the sequel, I thought it was time to finally see what all the fuss was about, and there was quite a lot of fuss. However, I must admit this film is a sci-fi neo-noir masterpiece, that definitely deserves its spot at the near pinnacle of film. It cleverly explores the themes of morality, and justice into the backdrop of a visually gorgeous dystopian future. Ridley Scott really went all out in every detail of this film, and he utterly immerses you into this greatly fascinating and stunning world. In honesty, the film does begin with a very gradual, slow pace, and at first viewing it did seem a bit tedious. But upon re watching, and truly understanding the film, it is incredible world building, and laying of the foundations to support the intriguing questions and themes this gem brings. This film is simply wonderful, and is definitely among my favorites of all time. Truly, after this film you must ask yourself "Do androids dream of electric sheep"
