Schindler's List is three hours worth of Spielberg gold. Throughout his illustrious career he's tackled many different genres and directions in itself. However, Schindler's List is unique to anything he had done before or since; we see evidence of this in the stylistic choice to shoot the film in a Monochrome color gradient. The gradient rightly depicts the theme of the movie as we are introduced to Oskar Schindler, a businessman who saved thousands of Jewish lives during the Holocaust. Due to the realism of the matter and the frighteningly brilliant, gritty direction of Spielberg, the film is not easy to watch, as it delves into the graphic horrors that occurred during this time. The acting is superb in this film. Liam Neeson as Oskar Schindler is simply mesmerizing, as he represents a externally flawed, yet greatly devoted character. Ralph Fiennes is completely terrifying and thrilling, while the other brilliant performances in this film are simply too many to mention. This film is will leave u awestruck and slightly tearful, so be prepared for a film like no other.
