  • Kingsglaive Final Fantasy XV took me by surprise. I really really dug this film and was completely immersed. What helped was the state of the art photorealistic motion capture and animation, it looked absolutely gorgeous. I didn't think they could top Advent Children and they did. The political story was well explored and I was engrossed in the plot. The FF lore is heavy, but stick with it as it is explained during the film. The majority of characters were likeable but the real star were the fight scenes, oh boy did they scream out "epic!". Not going to lie, my heart was pumping occasionally...some really good sequences. The voice acting was also top notch. I did find the animation to be slightly polygonal in some scenes and I wished there was some depth in the characters. Having said that, this was solid and it does make me want to play the game.
