Daniel Sánchez Antonio, also known as Daniel Sánton (Juchitán de Zaragoza, Oaxaca, October 2, 1998), is a Mexican documentary film director.
Daniel Sánton has carried out photographic and documentary projects that are active in the dissemination and preservation of the Zapotec culture of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec; projects that encompass traditions, art, language and contemporary social movements, granting him the appearance in emblematic stages such as the Institute of Graphic Arts of Oaxaca, the Juárez Theater in The Guelaguetza, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Oaxaca (MACO), the CONEICC in Mérida, the Institute of Arts and Cultures of Quintana Roo, as well as being the first place winner in the 2015 Cinemex short film contest.
As co-founder of Colectivo Guenda, he has produced "Personas"; a series of mini documentaries in the Riviera Maya, "Batallas Guenda"; freestyle rap league, as producer and workshop facilitator at "U Tsikbalil in kaajal"; a documentary made at the documentary film workshop in the Mayan Zone of Quintana Roo, as a PACMYC 2019 project.
