Patricia Lea "Patty" Jenkins (born July 24, 1971) is an American director and screenwriter. She is best known for directing Charlize Theron to her Best Actress Academy Award in "Monster" (2003) and for becoming the first female director of an American studio superhero movie with "Wonder Woman" (2017). Jenkins will also become the first woman to direct a Star Wars film with "Star Wars: Rogue Squadron" (2023).
