Olivia Griselda is a Singapore-based, Indonesia-born writer-director. She most recently directed “Rite of Passage”, an experimental dance short film that was shot as part of Cinemovement Laboratory 6: Solo in Indonesia. The film is an official selection of Athens International Film and Video Festival 2021 (an Oscar-qualifying film festival), Asian Film Archive’s Singapore Shorts 2021, San Francisco Dance Film Festival 2021, and Minikino Film Week’s Bali International Short Film Festival 2021.
She directed, wrote, and produced the romantic comedy short film “Just Because We’re Friends”, which was featured in Minikino Film Week’s Bali International Short Film Festival 2019 and Bakunawa Cinema of the Young 2021 (Philippines).
She’s currently co-directing the animated comedy short film “She and Her Good Vibrations” with animation filmmaker Sarah Cheok. The project was successfully crowdfunded through Kickstarter and raised more than SGD 12,000. It won the Best Pitch Award on the Animated Visions Story Development Lab 2020 organised by *SCAPE and Cartoons Underground. The short film is slated for completion at the end of 2022.
