Glenn Derry

Glenn Derry is the President of Production Technology at the AGBO production company.

For over two decades, Glenn has been one of Hollywood's leading technological innovators. His role as the chief architect behind James Cameron's Avatar introduced the concept of "virtual production” to the film and gaming industries. He has puppeteered animatronic dinosaurs, fast roped from military helicopters, and built and sold 2 companies.

In 2020, Glenn earned an Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Technical Achievement Award for the Technoprops Facial Capture system, which remains the gold standard hardware for creating realistic facial motion in digital characters. 

He has worked on dozens of feature films and AAA video game titles over his career so far; highlights include The Jungle Book, Real Steel, and Minority Report.
