Fiona Apple

Fiona Apple McAfee Maggart (born September 13, 1977) is an American singer-songwriter. She released her debut album, Tidal in 1996 to commercial success. This was followed by critically acclaimed, but less commercially successful albums, When the Pawn... (1999) and Extraordinary Machine

(2005). A perceived shelving of her third studio album was met with

vocal protests from her fans, who campaigned against her record label in

2005. While her musical output has been praised, she has also been

noted for her erratic behaviour early in her career. She received a Grammy Award for her debut single "Criminal" in 1998.
