Kathleen M. Ryan

Kathleen is an award-winning director and producer with 20+ years experience in television news and documentary film.  Her first television job was in Great Falls, Montana where she covered the race for governor and the forest fires during the summer of 1988 in Yellowstone National Park.  Since then she has worked as a show and segment producer for ABC, NBC, A&E, Lifetime and many others.  She has developed and produced a wide variety of shows over the years including the first weekend half-hour newscast for the Fox NewsChannel, an award-winning 30-part series for Disney Educational Productions called ABC News Classroom Edition and the documentary Saving Faces for the Discovery Health Channel.  Her documentary Backstretch premiered in 2007 and the interactive documentary Homefront Heroines: The WAVES of World War II premiered in 2013. She’s on the festival circuit with Pin Up! The Movie, is in post-production on an interactive documentary based on the film, and is in pre-production on a project about the first women to break into rock and roll radio.
