This film is a wonderful, beautiful, and purely honest representation of a life of a teenager. Along with the great directorial work from Greta Gerwing and splendid writing, Ladybird has an amzing cast of great performances in this film. Aside from Lucas Hedges, Timothee Chalamet, and even Saoirse Rona who were truly spectatcular in this film. Laurie Metcalf was easily the standout performance for me. Her chemistry with Ronan was simply magnificent, and brutally honest for a mother-daughter relationship. She added a new depth of poignancy and greatness to the Ladybird character and the film in a truly extraordianry way. This film was truly special to watch, and I was utterly wrapped up in it from the first wonderful scene. One of my favourites of the year, and well worth a watch0 member like this review.
