  • With inventive action and dialogue, Martin Scorsese paints a juxtaposed image of the mean streets of New York by playing elements of family and loyalty against betrayal, revenge and pure delinquency. The acting is incredible, the characters are memorable and there are most definitely a variety of quotes to pull from this film; however, the movie is alarmingly slow, and can feel like a collection of moments at times, rather than a fully comprehensive film, ultimately leaving this outing as a great, but not amazing motion picture.
