WAXWORK is one of those horror/comedies that should be viewed by any fan of horror at some point in his/her life. But be warned, it may require some patience and forgiveness in order to get through it.

I wont get into too much detail about the plot. You can see the description above just so you can get an idea of how preposterous the premise is. But hey, it was the late 80s and these movies were popping out from everywhere.

The acting is pretty bad from everyone on screen, including Zach Galligan who wasn't bad in Gremlins a few years earlier. The acting in Waxwork is so bad, you would think this is a student film. You will begin to wonder if this is done intentionally. I somehow don't think that was the case, however.

The editing is poorly paced and will make this 95-minute ride seem twice as long.

There are lots of visible goofs in this movie. For example, you can clearly see an actor lean on what is supposed to be a brick wall and it'll move revealing its a wooden set. One can argue that this is also intentional since these are displays the characters are transported into.

As mentioned, this is a horror/comedy that any horror buff should visit at least once in his/her lifetime. Even if its just for the cheesy factor.
