Life's premise and story aren't anything original, but that doesn't mean it's not enjoyable. For one the camera work and cinematography is fantastic; the camera flows in and out of the environment like if it were actually in space and the long takes are gorgeous. But let's face it, we're here to see an alien creature kill people and we want the movie to scare us. The overall atmosphere of the movie once things start happening is very suspenseful and creepy, and this is thanks to both the acting of the outstanding cast in this movie as well as the strong direction from Daniel Espinosa. But then again, the story and premise really let the movie down as a whole since it delivers nothing new to the genre and I will give it a 7 out of 10.
