    Although it's considered a commercial and critical failure, The Wiz has the distinction of being the first movie, that I can recall, that made me cry--for days. I was only seven and I didn't want Dorothy to leave her new found friends. Based on the Broadway play, Diana Ross and Michael Jackson star, sing and dance in an urban take on The Wizard of Oz.
