I finally got around to seeing this film and I can happily say that I was very surprised and impressed about it. While a film like Guardians of the Galaxy did expanded the MCU in a great way, Doctor Strange does it in a more unique way. It introduces the franchise to the grand magical aspect, and yes it's true that the mcu has already shown us glimpses of its importance of magic. However, Doctor Strange manages to make it grander, and more exciting. It's able to achieve this due to its simply mind blowing special effects that creates a visually superb effect on the viewer. The action sequences were shot very well, and were incredibly engaging. Benedict Cumberbatch as strange is a very good casting choice as he never feels out of place, or slightly lackluster in his portrayal. Rachel Mcadams, perhaps underused, yet was still a great addition to the cast. Tilda Swinton and Chiwetel Ejiofor were also used for prominimtely and well. Made Mikkelsen served as a decent villain( as MCU standards go), but still slightly unremarkable due to his lack of screen time. The concept of the movie altogether was entertaining, however I believe it could've been fleshed out a bit more. The pacing slightly suffered due to this. Since as a viewer a felt as if I was being a bit rushed into the third act. The plot itself also wasn't greatly innovative but worked well as an origin film, and in an already interesting world. Altogether this film was very entertaining, and was a replayable addition into the ever growing MCU.
