  I went in thinking this was a Pixar movie so when I realised it was a Disney product my expectations admittedly decreased. Raya and The Last Dragon is your average Disney adventure tale that hits all the right story beats at the right times. Yet, the design and world-building are spectacular. I came out of the cinema with my mind rushing. The world was sumptuous and rich with unique ideas. I adored the different aspects of the divided world, each with its own biodiversity and social identity. The story is nothing special and Awkwafina is sadly really annoying as dragon Sisu, but the design and world-building truly make this film a memorable watch. I just wanted to dive into the screen!
