It would've been NO STARS if it wasn't for the nostalgic closing sequence (I didn't watch this in its entirety; it's that bad). I'm a big fan of most of Rob Zombie's films (Devil's Rejects, Halloween, etc), so this project sounded intriguing on paper. However, this is a total misfire--and that's putting it nicely. While the casting choices are mostly promising, they're not given much to do. The film's narrative, direction-no,no,no! I was a big fan of the television show growing up, but almost none of the show's classic aesthetics are on display. Nor does it bring anything new, unless you're counting that it was shot in color. Remakes are tricky: You have to satisfy viewers of the original and also be able to bring in new viewers. If I had never heard of The Munsters, I would've stop watching--and fast forwarding--much earlier on. Very disappointed. Definitely one of the worst movies of the year for me.
