I should start this review by saying I've only ever seen The Bourne Identity in its entirety. With that said, go watch it again, and possibly its two (probably) worthy sequels. "Jason Bourne" is a movie that promises good action and exciting spectacle in its promotion, but lands with a thud as most of the action happens in too-quick-to-see cuts or off screen, and the only thing that happens on screen is characters looking at other screens. Alicia Vikander puts on her serious face and brings the movie back down to earth for any scene she's in but Tommy Lee Jones seems to be relaxing on set, specifically during takes. Damon is a non-entity in his own movie, which is a shame considering one his recent go in The Martian. What made this movie nigh unwatchable was taking a break from the non-action to explore the boring plot. Skip it.
