As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of interga...
Avengers: Infinity War was the ultimate culmination of something that was 10 years in the making. It brings all your favorite heroes together on the grandest scale. It was meant to a be masterpiece, but it fell short. This film is a cinematographic work of genius with it's incredible visuals and special effects. Couple that with it's incredible ensemble cast of characters, you have an amazing film. But unfortunately, this film also has a fairly disappointing story line. The overall plot is pretty simple: Avengers are trying to stop Thanos from getting the Infinity stones. But it gets complicated and muddle up by multiple story lines and subplots mixed together with jump-cuts, that culminate into a choppy incomplete story. Overall, my biggest issue with this move, is that it feels incomplete, and that's because it is incomplete. Once, Avengers 4 is released, I think this film could be more enjoyable, but as a standalone film, it's not that great. If you're a fan of the MCU, even just a casual fan, then I recommend this film for you. It's fun to see all your favorite heroes working together, and it's got all the incredible fight sequences and humor found in the previous films. But this film is not for the casual viewer. If you haven't seen the MCU films, then this is not the movie to start. This is not a movie you can just watch, you have to have background knowledge. Overall, I think this movie is incredible in many ways, and disappointing in others, and if you're a fan of the genre, like me, then you should definitely watch it. I can't imagine I'd watch it again, but I'm glad I got to see it.
