A spin on a romcom which immediately plays itself out in your head. You wait, clutching at your girlfriends elbow to her annoyance, for the 'time travel whoopsy moment' where the timelines collide in a knot of horror. Yet, About Time deceives its audience and cleverly subverts this. Instead, time travel acts as a device for Richard Curtis to explore life's wonderful ups and heart renching downs. That time horror moment, or equally romcom dating diaster, never happens. Life plays out organically in a rather lovely fashion.1 member likes this review.
