  • WHAT I LIKED: The sole appeal of ‘Now You See Me,’ really lies with its style as the only thing that keeps your eyes on the screen is the indulgence and dazzling shine of what’s on display. That partly comes from the visuals of course, but also from the brilliant score and fast-paced, witty performances that bring the mediocre script to life.
WHAT I LIKED: No matter how nice the shell is, you really can’t hide this kind of emptiness. Yes unfortunately the film is largely a mess of over-complicated plot, dull characters and poor pace judgement, and in the end, it winds up pretty disengaging and boring overall.
VERDICT: It keeps smiling that pretty smile, but sadly ‘Now You See Me’ lacks the personality inside to keep you interested or remotely engaged. Shame.
