What a fun time THE GUEST turned out to be.

I had heard some things about Adam Wingard's (You're Next, Blair Witch) The Guest and knew it was one I had to add to my Netflix queue. I put it away for some time before looking for something to watch and finally decided to give it a go. Boy did it not disappoint.

This film would've easily been a dud if not for the great cast Wingard brought on board. Our leads who play David (Dan Stevens) and Anna (Maika Monroe) really carry the whole film with much success.

From the very beginning, you're wondering where this movie is going to take you. You're kept in the dark for a while and that's a good thing because you're kept in suspense as to who this David guy is, or better yet WHAT he is.

The movie flows really well and once it kicks into high-gear, it does not slow down one bit. You're left with no choice but to hang on and be taken for the entire remainder of the ride.

I highly recommend The Guest. Its simply a treat for genre fans as well as the more casual movie-goer.
