WHAT I LIKED: I suppose the appeal of ‘Everybody Wants Some,’ is how real it feels, as all of the performances and a fairly good script successfully build a whole roster of characters that are as grounded as they are amusing.
WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE: That being said, once everything's established, it's no more entertaining than watching a few college guys mess around for a few hours... because that's exactly what it is. Yes it’s all very well building good characters, but if you don’t do anything with them, it means the novelty wears off pretty quickly and the whole experience becomes extremely disengaging overall.
VERDICT: Watch some realistic characters in a realistic world do absolutely nothing interesting at all. Maybe it’s just my issue with pure ‘hang-out movies,’ but man did this thing bore my socks off.1 member likes this review.
