Child's play series there have been great movies and there have been awful ones this new movie sorta falls in the middle for the franchise. While I love that they brought back actor Alex Vincent in a supporting role as Andy from the first 2 movies. It's still a bit disappointing that the series has turned into direct to video film's. The look of chucky and his movements sometimes look ugly and a bit off. How can the movies from the 90's look better than todays movie? It's low budget but at least they get the atmosphere right. Very light on actual scares but the subject matter is dark and still creepy enough. There are plot holes continuity errors that also hamper this film as well. It's hard to try and continue a series that's 7 movies in now and try to take whats happened in the past but also create a new mythology. At this point I'm not sure the series has anything left to say. I'll give Cult of Chucky a 4 out 100 member like this review.
