Logan stands as my favorite movie of 2017 so far, and just misses out as the best superhero film. It is a cinematic masterpiece: in a brilliant swansong for Hugh Jackman's Wolverine. In 17 years as the iconic character this is certainly the best as wolverine comes to terms with old age, and the decline of mutants. In my honest opinion, Patrick Stewart gives an Oscar nomination worthy performance as the sadly senile Professor X. Dafne Keen also gives an amazing performance as X-23 as she's pretty much perfect in every scene . The acting is brilliant, the story is superb, and cinematography is mesmerizing. It'll have to be an extraordinary year for films if Logan doesn't at least make my top 2.
