Enemy (2013) is a film directed by Denis Villeneuve and features extraordinary performances by Jake Gyllenhaal, Sarah Gadon, and Mélanie Laurent. What initially drew me to this film, is the director, Denis Villeneuve, who also directed both Prisoners and Sicario, which are 2 of my favorite films in recent years.

Enemy is an incredibly beautiful film what features incredible performances and a well-written story. Jake Gyllenhaal was, of course, phenomenal in his roles, but as I did in a pervious post, I especially want to call out Sarah Gadon. I have now seen Sarah Gadon in 2 very different roles and with each, she stole the show. Without spoiling anything, I will add, that the last shot of the film will leave you completely mystified.

Overall, Enemy is one of those films that you will be thinking about days and possibly weeks after you watch it. I wanted to re-watch it immediately after finishing it. I can safely say, that Enemy is one of my favorite films of 2013 and the incredible direction and performances will leave you in awe. I give Enemy a 9/10.
